PASTOR FOGLIO

Pastor James Foglio is a lifelong resident of Weirton, WV. Active in the community from a young age, he was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and Weirton Christian Center. Growing up in a sports town, Pastor Foglio lettered in both track and football at Weir High School, where he graduated in 1959. After school, he went on to work for Stravaggi Enterprises and the Weirton Steel Corporation before opening his own motorcycle dealership in 1969. After coming to the Lord he attended Memorial Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and president of the Baptist Men’s Fellowship. He then served as president of the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship of Weirton and was the city coordinator for the “I Found It” evangelical campaign, where over 1700 people prayed to receive Christ as their personal savior. Pastor Foglio also served as a teacher/elder at the West Street Church of God and was a chaplain at the WV State Penitentiary in Moundsville.

PASTOR GARY LILLY

Pastor Gary Lilly entered pastoral ministry in 1970 and has served a total of seven churches. He is currently an associate pastor at Weirton Covenant and serves as the senior pastor of Restoration Church in Steubenville, Ohio. Pastor Gary is experienced in all phases of ministry and commits a great deal of time to counseling and Christian writing. He especially delights in creating Christian drama, and poetry. For nearly ten years he has written a newspaper column for seniors called, “Notes From The Lilly Pad.” He and his lovely wife Pamela reside in Weirton.

ELDER MICHAEL SMITH

Michael Smith became an Elder at Weirton Covenant in June of 2001. He has since served the church, regularly teaching and counseling. Elder Michael is also very active in the community as a member of the Weirton Ministerial Association and the Chamber of Commerce. In addition, he is highly involved in many local charities including the United Way as well as the Community Bread Basket, a local food bank where he serves as president of the board and oversees weekly food distributions throughout the city. He resides in Weirton with his wife Jeanie, and enjoys spending time with his family, which includes six grandchildren.
